BEWARE – Tax Season Fraud Calls & Texts

If you haven’t already received a random text or call from an automated calling service stating that they are Canada Revenue Agency or Revenue Quebec, don’t be surprised if you get that call soon.

Please be careful of these sorts of random calls you may receive, especially at this time of year since it’s tax season.

They will demand money from you, scare by saying you going to jail, or personal information such as your social insurance number, birth date or confirmation of address. This is simply FRAUD!

Please note, that the Canada Revenue Agency or Revenue Quebec DO NOT make these types of calls demanding such things by text or phone. They will initially send you letters and if need be have an agent on your file that will again, send you a notice and than in rare cases call
